DAMIAN HIRST EXHIBIT 'CANDLE IN THE WIND' DESTROYS GREAT BOOKSHOP.

FRIDAY 23.05.2014

DAMIAN HIRST, a former art-student, whose small exhibition at the prestigeous ELVIS_PICASSO BOOKSHOP included an installation, 'Candle in the Wind'. Unfortunately, this exhibit was placed too close to the BAYEAU TAPESTRY, a copy on loan from the French Ministry of Culture (Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication), which caught fire and utimately destroyed the entire emporium - and, even more disastrously, part of the Glasgow School of Art.

A copy of the ELVIS_PICASSO BOOKSHOP, in all its fine architectural detail and encyclopedic inventory, is now under reconstruction adjacent to the Glasgow School of Art. The reconstruction of the Glagow School of Art, to which the ELVIS_PICASSO Bookshop is intimately connected, is, of course, entirely funded by the ELVIS_PICASSO FOUNDATION, largely from interest received from the European Central Bank as payment on loans made to the Greek Government.

This should be up and running as usual from the end of the season.

More to follow later.
